1969 Original antenna question

My question is: I have a 1969 XR7 vert. The antenna is round and has one telescoping piece to it. Is this correct for the car, or should the antenna be one piece with an “egde” on the front of it and more rounded on the back? At a meet someone was stating that the antenna was wrong on my car. Here is a link to WCCC that has the concourse antenna listed and it looks to me to telescope in one place and resemble the one that is on my Cougar.

There should be two telescoping sections. Its hard to see, but the top section with the ball “telescopes” all the way in to the center section.
