I am currently making a replacement package tray for my 1969. Am needing to know what kind of material is used to cover it. I am using a 1/8" thick hardboard panel for the backing.
You can get one already done from WCCC .where I got mine, or NPD.

Believe there was nothing covering them originally. Just painted. Original material was masonite. With all or most of it being made overseas its difficult to fine it in its original thickness.
