1969 ram air system

Hi, I just picked up a 69 428 ram air car. I have the top part with the flapper. The base has 2 openings so it’s not original. What I’m looking for is a system that will work, fit and look relatively close to original. This car is never going to be a Mecum car. So I see that late 60’s T-birds have the base. What would I use for the top lid, a 302? Any help would be appreciated

Scott Drake makes and sells a reproduction Ram Air setup for your car. Great pricing and free shipping at https://summitracing.com

What Royce said.

The 1967 Thunderbird base can by used, but must be modified. The reproduction versions are of very good quality for the money.

This is the lid on top of the air filter, if your missing it. Or you can use in e from a Ford style open element air cleaner.

This is a base fir a Shaker unit, I’m not sure how different the Cougar one is. But I bet it is close.

I/m sure Summit Racing has them too, I just could not find them there.

Here is another option, he has shaker parts also. http://www.fordramair.com/new/products/shakers.htm#Mustang%20Shaker

Thank you all for your insights. I have been spending way too much time on this but I hope my efforts will make it easier for the next guy. The mustang shaker base has 3 mounting tabs for the shaker. The cougar one doesn’t not seem to. It appears as it sits on the edge of the base plate and the rubber seal against the hood holds it in place. The base from late 60’s Thunderbird/Lincoln looks pretty much the same since it has a fitting in front for the valve cover breather. The snorkel may be shorter than it should be but that is for concours judges to determine. Thanks to everyone who told me about the Summit/Jegs top plate. FYI the base cost me $75 and the top plate is $40. Fortunately I had the top flapper since that runs $800-$1200! I saved money on that so now I am going to get the G60 x15 Polyglas RWL tires that I always wanted!
