Date code 993 would indicate 1969 service carb. Great piece. Tough to sell as a service part, but with originals in the $3500-$7500 range, at least $1k in my opinion.

Be careful with valuation- yes they are ādesirableā I have a few of them. 3259 is the 715, the 3259-1 is a 725. If you look on Ebay there are always several āearly high performance Shelbyā carbs, and the asking prices are ridiculous. Folks that āneedā these date coded parts are getting to be fewer and fewer. Right now on Ebay there is a 950 and 1050 3V Holley. And both of these are hard to find. Both are less than a thousand, and both have been available now for a while. I have 2 of the 950ās, and Iād like to add the 1050 just to say I have one. But, I have no need for it, and even at the price, Iām going to pass for a bit on it. I may have one too many beers and buy it, but for now, itās safe.
The 3259 are a good running carb, and I also like the 4118, which is a more readily available Shelby over the counter replacement. My point is that just because people are asking huge money for them, doesnāt mean that it was they are selling for. Some of the ones on Ebay have been on sale for years now, and Iām pretty sure they have spent more money to advertise them, than what the big asking prices are.
