Hi I am getting my headliner and vinyl roof replaced on my 1969 XR-7. Will they have to pull the front and rear windows. Can the window gaskets be reused? Anything else I should tell the installer. He seems experienced but this my be the only 1969 that he has ever done! Thanks.
The windshield does not have to be removed. It is glued in with no gasket. On the rear glass you can save the gasket if you break the glass out. Otherwise the way to remove the glass is to cut the rubber seal. You have to destroy one or the other.
I need to do my headliner and vinyl top also. I was under the impression that both glass needed to come out.
On 1967 - 68 Cougars that is the case but 1969 - 70 no.
