1969 xr7 Convertible / Burnt Orange / White Interior / FOR SALE!

100% rust free, numbers matching, original garage kept driver. This car is a very presentable car as is, it is an older repaint and the interior has been redone in vinyl. It has 141k original miles, PS, PDB, Console, AM-FM, Floor mats, wire wheel covers, bumper guards and tinted glass. The lady I bought it from purchased it 35 years ago from a used car lot. We are going to put $5000 worth of new parts and upgrades into it and do a very nice detail over the next two weeks and I feel it will be worth about $27k, less if the original wheels and wire caps are what you choose. I am planning on putting it on Bring A Trailer with no reserve but thought I would offer it here first if someone wants to avoid the buyers premium. These are the sneak preview “before” pictures. I will post more after we cut and buff the paint, get the Marti Report and put on some fancy wheels.

Don,
Looks to be a beautiful car, and a very attractive color combination. Certainly one that will go quickly. I’m looking forward to seeing the Marti Report.

What is the engine in the car?

The VIN was shown in the image of the owners handbook. VIN = 9 F 94 M 525161 - so the M is a 351-4V ( early production vehicle - in the first 1/4 of the 1969 production run ) it’s a Windsor V8 @ 290 H.P.

Getting closer! Was not totally sold on the wheel choice until I installed them, they look even better in person!

That’s a really beautiful Cougar!
