Working on fixing prior problems. Does anyone have an unmolested 1969 XR7 w/power windows that can snap a few photos of the master window switch wiring? I would like to see the rear of the master switch wiring from the switch to the main harness in the door that goes back into the car.
Also, on the wiring diagram for the power windows, it shows on the drivers side only, the 2 wires coming from the switch to the motor with a resistor symbol. Is this indicating that only these 2 wires are resistance wires?
Is there anyone that has a picture of the back side of the power window master switch set up that shows the brass looking jumper plate placement? Also, on the wiring diagram for the power windows, it shows on the drivers side only, the 2 wires coming from the switch to the motor with a resistor symbol. I don’t have schematics available right now, but there are no resistor wires within the electric window system that I know of…Could you be interpreting the symbols for cross-over signals?
Midlife:
There is a symbol for a resistor in both wires that lead from the master switch to the motor of the L.F. window motor. Not sure what the symbols means, what are the resistors for?
The resistor symbol should look something like this:
-MMMMM-
Can you take a photo of what you’re looking at? All of my schematics are in storage until the house gets repaired from Hurricane Michael damage.
Huh. I stand corrected. I’ve never seen that before. Very surprising that it is on only the LF window. I must not refurbished that particular year’s window harnesses. I’ve never run across resistor wires in that system. If you get a chance, ohm those two wires out and let us know what their value is.

The problem is when I bought the car the window harness and switches had already been removed so I am looking for new window harness and switches.
