[album][/album]Hello all, This is Darrell from WCCC.
While trying to develop a new stripe kit for the Eliminator,
I am finding a variance in the location of the stripe on the rear trim strips.
any help with pictures of originals would be nice to use as a comparison.
Happy to answer any questions on the Burlwood kits being developed here at WCCC. I am also thinking of a Carbon Fiber set. To those that have purchased them, do hope you like the look and cut.
I am a cougar newbie, so a '68 was the way to go for me with good interior, exterior and needs some “engine” work. She’s bright blue, the black paint is not real. also looking to do stripe kits for 67-68
What variances are you referring to? The factory workers put them on in a variety of positions. The stripe themselfs were the same just the application varied - you should see the variances in the side stripes! I have a couple original Eliminator backup light bezels if you need some pictures.
You have a great eye, it is the same car Lin had with a currently blown up roller engine, We are looking into a 68 long block here to place her back to original condition, I lucked out and still have the 68 J code intake and Exhaust still on the car. so it can go back somewhat original. I have had several other cool Ford cars, 2 1st gen. Stangs , 70 Torino GT, 71 Ranchero GT and a 56 Ford Truck. But this is my first Coug.
The stripe looks to have been made to run up to the contour line, but the original show hangs down a bit. Yes, Dr. I would like to see those images. thanks in advance, Darrell
