No affiliation and I haven’t looked at it, just passing it along.
nice car and probably really neat to hear the whole history of the car, but I can’t help but chuckle at it being listed down low as fwd
That was listed 6 months or more ago. Seems to be just what the seller says… color might be slowing sale?
“First gen”, eh?? LOL.
Seems nice for the price of admission.
Missed that. Lately I’m missing more of these things…Mr. Magoo!

If it is solid the price is good. I would say Color is not helping…
I really like the looks of this one! Wish I didn’t have so many cars or I’d at least go and take a look.
Saw this one in person a while back at Cars and Coffee at World of Speed. Chatted with the owner, who told me it was for sale, but I didn’t ask how much. Appeared to be a solid, original car that presented well. Some dings and dents, and I recall it may have had some bubbles starting in the door corners, as well as some pitting on top of the tail light bezels. Still had the original dealership plate frames too.
Spotted it on CraigsList a few weeks later for $15k or so. And just last week it was on Bring A Trailer’s auction site, where it bid to a bit over $6k (reserve not met): http://bringatrailer.com/listing/1970-mercury-cougar-2/
Post deleted by author–he must’ve sold it. He dropped the price to $8K in the past couple of days before pulling the ad…
