Hi everyone, I seem to have run into an unexpected problem. I installed my rear spoiler, and happily mounted my trunk back to the hinges, and realized it wouldn’t hold itself up. After some research on here I learned that even on the farthest notch it would not hold up, and to try to save money I put it on the farthest notch and lo and behold it didn’t work as was stated. I am looking into shocks I can put in to fix this problem, and I’ve found 2, and was wondering if there were any better systems or methods people use to fix this problem.

This set is for a 67-68 mustang, and I was uncertain if it would still fit and fix my problem

and this set if for 67-70 fastbacks, and I was also uncertain if this would fit, and since it’s only one shock if it would hold it up reliably.
If there is a specific trunk shock I could get I would be happy knowing I wouldn’t have to wait longer and search around for one, so if anyone knows of a fix it would be greatly appreciated.
