I converted over to a quartz movement and trying to install the 2 lenses. 1 is a black plastic spacer and then the actual lens itself. Do they get glued together? How do they attach to the metal housing? Thanks
They stay separate. The ‘spacer’ goes on first, then the lens. Be sure to install the knob before you clinch the edges of the clock case to hold it all together.
(if you followed the Scott Drake instructions and pulled your set stem out of the little set gear don’t try to stake, glue it or epoxy it back on. It’s a common problem that I see a lot of. Pack it all up and send it to me I have a fix for it.)
