1970 XR7 Convertible 428CJ 4 speed 1 of 17 made

Just passing this information on from a fellow Cougar Owner. For those of you that are coming out to Barrett-Jackson this year, you will get to see this awesome car in person! Hopefully some lucky Cougar enthusiast will take it home! There are some really nice photos of the car on the Barrett-Jackson web site.
Best Regards, Scott

I have made the big scary decision and consigned my 70 XR7 convertible,428cj 4speed to the Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale this year. It is lot #953.2 and should sell on Friday late afternoon and needless to say I am not sleeping well already.
Getting a number of things fixed which John Benoit was nice enough to point out to me and it should be ready to go. It should arrive @ the auction Wednesday afternoon, which does concern me, but work does get in the way sometimes.
Please pass on the news to anyone who may have interest and perhaps we can meet at the auction.
Thanks,

Here are a few photos from the Barrett-Jackson site. By the way, of the 17 made, just 9 are known to still exist… :shifty:

Cool! Total sleeper… especially being non - Ram Air. Glad to see another nice Cougar will be at B-J this year.

Guys… I can put eyes on this car if anyone needs. I live nearby and kinda know the owner thru another guy. Must. see. this. car. before. it. leaves. town.

Actually… this makes for a pretty good reason to go to Arizona in January… as if 10 below and windchill isn’t enuf…

That is a beautiful car. I agree Blitz it is a total sleeper. Glad it has stayed that way.
