1971 Mercury Cougar GT $35,998

Looks really good. Only 787 were built.

1971 Mercury Cougar | Volo Museum (volocars.com)

I live near Volo. Not looking to buy but would be a cool car to see in person. Plus the museum is awesome.

I didn’t realize that the seller actually had a museum. I went to their website and have plenty of high dollar classics. If I lived nearby I would definitely check it out.

The rear shackles must be a lot longer than stock to show below the rear valance. I bet that’s not good for handling. The aftermarket stereo and gage cluster have added a lot of extra wiring that looks untidy / dangerous / fire hazardish.

Looks like it was a good car to begin with…

Color change from grabber lime,

the exterior/ interior is like 50 shades of green that don’t seem to get along together!

The modifications do it no favors either

Most of the Volo cars I’ve seen are 20 footers

You’re right about the interior but I do like the exterior color.

Looks almost like the later 70’s ford jade green.
A set of chrome 15 inch magnums would do wonders for that car.
