Is there a way to repair my horn blow ring? I know West Coast Classic Cougar (WCCC) sells a black repo, but my ring is green. Also, if black is the only option, is there someone who can install it for me? WCCC has a disclaimer that says " If you have already begun to install or have installed this item, it is not eligible for return or refund." This tells me that it requires some experience to do it right.
There’s no way to repair your old one. The new one can be died but the best option is to just install it and keep it black.
Installing them is pretty simple. Just use the wooden tongue depressor supplied with the new one.
“Best in Show” should be able to help. Quote replacing a 69 switch was $225 to $250 including switch. Repairs to the wheel are of course extra
They can dye the switch the color you want too
I would not bother. Dennis Carpenter sells the replacement rimblow switches. I would buy one from him and install it myself. It’s not that hard.
Replacing it can be easy OR really costly. Age tends to make slot smaller thus making installation hard. For the cost of the switch & knowing it will works is well worth the money!! Besides repops are black only!
How do I contact “Best in Show”?
Tell Jay I sent ya
Ummm, dont know about that, but I do know they do excellent work!
