Hi everyone, I’m replacing the water pump, radiator, shroud, hoses, and belts.
Before I reassemble everything, I could really use engine bay reference pics from anyone with a 1977–79 Cougar or Thunderbird (351W preferred): I took some pics but apparently I didn’t get enough angles.
Front of engine (pump, pulleys, brackets)
Radiator + shroud setup
Fan spacing
Hose routing
Just need to make sure everything goes back together correctly.
Welcome to the forum! Most of us own 67-73 Cougars, but maybe somebody can help. I used to have a 77 Cougar Wagon with 351M and have this one pic, but nothing with the detail you need. Are you sure it’s not a 351M in your Cougar? It looks great!
Thanks Calicat, I had some doubts but the decal on the valve cover on driver’s side clearly shows it to be a 351w. I know it’s possible the valve cover could have swapped but the engine bay looks fairly untouched. I was able to figure out the assembly order for all the brackets that go over the water pump it just took me a bit of time. I appreciate your response!
