1988 Mercury Cougar XR-7 with the 5.0 engine.
I am looking for some help in locating the motor mounts for this car (they are the same in the Thunderbird for 1988).
I need to locate both the left and right side metal brackets for the motor mounts especially the upper parts that bolt to the engine block.
The Ford part numbers for these upper brackets are:
E8SZ 6030 A
E8SZ 6031 A
Any help you can offer in where or how I may locate these parts would be greatly appreciated.
In case any one is interested or needs hard to find Cougar and T-Bird parts, I found this guy in California who has a good inventory, but will also go out to salvage yards in CA and pull parts, good rust free parts. I got in touch with turbo Chuck and he said he sold his business. He used to make the mounts.
New owner was not up and running yet and Chuck could not give me any further info.
