I should be getting my 390 block back any day to start assembly. Then it will be time to put it in my 68. I don’t know why this never occoured to me until now, but will the brackets for power steering pump alternator etc from the 73 pickup the engine came from work…Or will I need to find different brwckets?
You’ll definitely want to check hood clearance. And what p/s bracket is the truck using? Mine was the three nearly vertical bolts and a fourth on the side to adjust the tension. That thing stuck out a long ways so it could be problematic. Looking at the WCCC pictures of the brackets there’s pretty much no way if it is the truck p/s bracket it’s going to work for you.

I have seen pickup truck brackets used in Mustangs and Cougars. They don’t look correct, but will work.
As long as they function I’ll be happy. I can worry about making it correct later…Or not at all.
