I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the approximate engine weight is on a 68 S-code 390 with air conditioning.
No smog equipment as far as I can tell.
If anyone has any other questions to help determine the weight, let me know. If not, I’d appreciate any educated estimates.

I did a quick search and came up with this.
“When installed in Mercury vehicles, these engines were named “Marauder”. This series of engines usually weighed over 650 lb (295 kg).”

It does indeed help! I am looking to buy an engine stand, and wanted to make sure I bought one that would hold it safely. A one-ton should do the trick. A 3/4 ton would probably hold it, but no sense running the risk.
Appreciate your help digging something up. I did some google searching and couldn’t find anything.
Make sure the stand you buy has 4 wheels and arms that adjust to accept your engine bolt pattern.
