What stampings are on the passenger side front of the engine where the assembly date is typically stamped on your 427?
My engine has X5.
Do you have any stampings on right side raised boss?
I never even thought about it. As a kid I worked on a bunch of FEs but never gave it much thought and figured it was the same as Windsor small blocks, and I just saw an old Tech Tips that mentioned the stamping moving to the front left from right. Live and learn. Thanks Royce. Those other stampings must be inspector marks.
Small block assembly inspector date stamps are near the front. FE are towards the rear as in my photos.
