5 spd tranny

Well the 70 orange vert showed up and I was driving down the road rpm seemed high so tried for 5th gear an it was there. Put car on the lift and it says ford on the tranny, has a trick hyd clutch set up. All kinds of stiffness on frame. One busted motor mount and a leaking master cyl. Not to bad looks like car was setup for slalom running. No tag on rear end but it has been changed to what?? Ran her down I20 to da ay and 85 ta 90 did not sound to bad rpm wise, I have ordered a tac for it. Gonna remove spring over rear shocks an a sway bar then install some air shocks butt end sitting to low for me. Have new master cyl and motor mout so will get to it in am. Any thoughts of where the 5 spd came from?

Hard to say without pictures.

Pictures will help ID the trans.

Please search here as to why air shocks are a bad idea on our cars.

That looks like a T5 on a late model Fox body Mustang aluminum bell housing. It is a Modern Drive Line hydraulic clutch conversion with external slave cylinder. I can say the last sentence definitively as it’s the same as what I have on my car from them.

Who is them? I need a rubber boot to cover the opening around clutch arm. An will make a flywheel cover in am.
Thank you for the info!! No if I can figure out the rear Gear ratio, I can tell it ain’t a 3.00. Be Safe Ralph

“Them” is Modern Drive Line as I noted in my message above.

3.00 seems like it could be low because of the t-5. The t-5 has a 2.95 first gear. If you are in 4 th gear, that is 1:1. You can cruise at 65 mph fairly easy.
