I’d put this in the FS section but thought it might get more attention here.

$65k is really high but it does have a “new fan shrub”.
Steven
I’m guessing he must mean $6500.
Asking price is 65k. Serious callers only.
I bet his phone is ringing off the hook.
He’s asking for serious callers only. How about serious sellers only?
Seller on meth?
Normally I’d say it’s a little over priced but that wheel/tire combo and new rad hoses make it worth every penny
The contact info traces back to a Nigerian PO box
I wouldn’t take a piss on anything listed on Craig’s list. I tried it once to advertise guitar lessons and ended up with an inbox full of junk from the United Arab Emirates, Nigeria, Etc. Not to mention how many people here in the Metro Atlanta area that are attacked, robbed, and in the case of a couple trying to buy a '65 Mustang, killed.
Always a tip-off for a scam that the only picture of the car is at a gas station.
I had to call him… He is dead serious, $65k not a dime less, not a misprint. It is not a scam, he really owns the car. Very polite and sincere young man, he just really wants to get back all the money he has invested.
Don, did you set him straight? Unless there is $60K of gold bullion in the trunk…
They could do an ebay search and price it near the condition to get some takers in the scam.
I agree the wheels and tires make the car…LOL
I have a theory on Craigslist, the longer the description, the worse the car is in person.
I wonder what he spent the 30K on, certainly wasn’t paint…
So $65,000 and it’s “ready for paint”?
Don’t we all?
Wow. I think a lot of you guys are low balling your own cars (I hope you can smell the sarcasm). You know that a car is only worth what people are willing to pay for it. That’s why pricing on new cars changes from state to state. So who’s gonna’ be the first one to list one in a more finished state for $100k? I mean heck, the buyer wouldn’t even have to pay for the added cost of a paint job to cover the, as the seller listed, “custom” paint that is on it.
I would love to see where exactly he spent $30k in parts. I especially love that he listed it as a four cylinder, front wheel drive car with 500 miles on the odometer.
You know. As a gift, I was thinking about planting one of those new fan shrubs in the yard for my wife this year.
In defense of ‘fan shrub’ my tablet changes what I type and I have to backspace to correct the changes. Still, I try to review what I post.
But I think for 65K he should say he would drop the car off at a paint shop for free!
Frankly, I wouldn’t pay a dime over $64k… Wow
I’d stand firm and $62.5k. Not a dime more.
