Are you sure that you reconnected the hoses properly? Are the hoses properly routed? Are there any kinks in the hoses? Did you use the proper fluid? I would send the pump back to Chockostang before I bought another pump.

Yes, I’m sure. It was returned with the hoses installed. Type F motorcraft fluid is what I used. No kinks at all.
Worked fine for about a month, maybe 4 times out. Sped the engine up to 5k rpm, like normal and that’s when I noticed it didn’t like that. Started to feel tight around corners.
Dans explanation was confusing but it was something like dirt could have gotten into to it and needed to be inspected. Not sure how that is even possible with everything being new or rebuilt to be new.
Odd that the old dirty fluid that was in there for 35 years is what I was using for the last 5 years and that stuff worked perfect. Maybe because it was being replaced with new stuff constantly. Idk. Thanks for your thoughts.
