'67 390 GT exhaust

Hi All,

I may be able to assist. I have a 41,000 Mile original California GT. Its a 4 speed car with an early date of 12/6/1966. The exhaust system is 100% original and intact.

Pm me for assistance and info.

Thanks

Thanks Chris, I very much appreciate your assistance on this. Best regards.

Jim

Sorry that I don’t have pics as mine to share is no longer original but if you’re going that way be sure that the thermostat control valve assembly on the passenger side functions properly. Assuming one was on yours originally but far as I know, it should be.

Here’s the part on WCCC Spacer - Thermostat Control Valve Assembly - Exhaust Manifold 390 / 427-4V - Used ~ 1967 - 1968 Mercury Cougar / 1967 - 1968 Ford Mustang ( 1967 Mercury Cougar, 1968 Mercury Cougar, 1967 Ford Mustang, 1968 Ford Mustang ) at West Coast Classic Cougar :: The Definitive 1967 - 1973 Mercury Cougar Parts Source

The valve can be a bit problematic so maybe someone here can suggest a way to make it look OE from the outside but not have the guts of this part?

The return spring is missing in that pic, that can be problematic.

Just a pic off of WCCC but totally missed that Jim started this tread so was like telling Bill Gates to try to reboot his system. :laughing:

No problem. Need all the help and reminders I can get :slight_smile:
