Not my car but I told the guy I’d post pics here if that’s ok.
Fender and door tag don’t match. Cars solid except for the top. It’s gone…even the sail panels are rusted. Small rust out in passenger front floor , finger tip hole. I didn’t see any more rust than that. Car hit a tree.
No title.
Shock towers are OK doors are tight from the impact I think.
I agree with you Don. The shame is the fender shows a 4 v. car and the door tag is for a 2v.
It may well be factory 4 speed but I don’t know how to find out. I posted asking about the 4speed bench seat aspect. Not what I need unless I part it out.
That’s a rough car for 4k. IMO that is more of a parts car then something I would want to invest a ton of time and money on unless it held sentimental value. There is alot of sheet metal work there with almost every panel needing some kind of work or replacement. And that’s what you can see, you know it will have alot more issues once torn down especially with that front end impact.
Then you have no title…Tag on the door has screws instead of rivets so its probably been swapped between a couple cars and this one never got the tag swapped over. Go off the fender Vin as that is most likely the correct one for the car.
Normally when the roof is rusted through like that there is severe rust out in the floor of the trunk from rain water getting in. With just the roof being bad the car is not worth saving. The rest of it being terrible makes it difficult to use as a parts car - the price is multiples of what it is worth.
