67 Cougar Back Glass Body Repair

I’m learning a lot so please bear with me. I picked up this car for fairly cheap based on the premise that the rust in the pictures below would be hard to repair but at this point missing the back glass is the only thing keeping me from driving the vehicle around. I know they make a rear deck lid that I can use to replace the piece that I had cut the rust out of but do they make any panels/skins of any kind for the rear pillars for the driver and passenger? I’ve done a ton of research and I can’t seem to find anything but it’s definitely going to be tough to mold it down to give that factory finish look.

That is commonly called a trunk transition panel, rear deck upper filler panel etc. You can fabricate the pieces from flat cold rolled steel, I’d recommend either 18 or 20GA. Heavier stock will be extremely difficult to form. Look for a metal fabricator or sheet metal shop in your area, they’ll likely give you more material than you could ever use. @Don_Rush may have a car that he can cut pieces out of for you, or you could use a Mustang panel as a donor.

I did a similar repair to my 71, but it was not nearly as bad. The job was more delicate since the car is painted and I had to be extremely careful to not damage it. Some places I cut in patch pieces, others I put the patch behind the panel and welded in place.

I’m willing to get the rear deck filler piece but I can’t for the life of me find any window channel so I don’t have to make my own because I’m definitely not that good. I’ve got some sheet metal already to kind of make due with too.
