Anyone know why my 67 289 idles down too low when I come to a stop sign or stop light runs fine on the other wise idles fine in park when in gear at stops it idles to low I’ve tried turning the idle up a bit. No luck
Check the float level. Is it 2V or 4V? Original carb? Autolite or Holley, other? Also look for vacuum leak. Does it have power brakes?

It’s been awhile since I’ve adjusted the float level on a Holley, but if I recall correctly the level of the fuel in the bowl should be just level with the BOTTOM of the sight plug hole ( it will just barely dribble out of the hole, at that point ). Have a look at this video - and there are lots of them on YouTube for the external adjustments to the Holley:
