67 leather interior color

I ordered a set of leather front seats from John’s Classic Cougars a few months ago. They were very beautiful covers but the wrong color blue. My interior code is 6B dark blue. I have looked at West Coast Classic C web site

this is the color that they have for my interior. This is about the same that John’s sent me. It is not the color of my interior seats or door panels. Mine are very dark blue. It is about the color of my dash, roof vynil, and center console.

John is working on finding the leather and vynil in the right color so I am sure he will make it right. I would assume most of the 67 Cougars are going to be the same color as mine. Is that correct?

You are correct, 67 and 8 are identical, very dark blue. The previous owner of my 68 xr7 spent a fortune putting leather in it but both the color and texture were wrong and it drove me nuts. I put in a set of vinyl and it looks much better. BTW I hope you preserved your old covers when you took them off.

They are still on the car. I would not even replace them but the drivers seat leather is torn in a couple of places. Don your vinyl for dark blue is the wrong color for my seats. Why don’t you have the correct vinyl color? https://secure.cougarpartscatalog.com/6 … attribs=75

Keep in mind this is a photo-shop rendition of our blue interior. Actual colors will vary a little.

Many of the upholstery pictures on our website are photoshopped to approximate the correct color. It would be impractical to upholster a seat in every style and color. In this case, I think the actual seat I took pictures of was in fact blue, but maybe the flash makes it look lighter than you’d expect.

Below is a picture of our brand new vinyl upholstery (just the fronts) in dark blue on Don’s '68 XR-7. I can attest that it matches pretty well!
