Some of you may recognize this Cougar from the West Regional Cougar show in Northern California this summer. This beautiful Caspian Blue over light blue hardtop was driven from Spokane Washington to San Francisco and back without a single problem. This car took first place in its class and won the Top Cat award. It will also be featured in the upcoming Legendary Cougar review of the California show and in an upcoming issue of the magazine.

This is truly a car you can hop in and drive anywhere in the country without worry. The color combination is striking and is further complimented by red pinstripes, redline tires and red Mercury Man center caps on stock, not reproduction, styled steel wheels. The original 289 4V engine and C4 transmission run strong and smooth. The factory disc brakes work perfectly as does the factory tilt-away steering wheel.

The paint, interior and trim is all very nice and all mechanical components have been gone through and either restored or replaced. Most of the work was done by the owner, including the paint and body. This car was virtually rust free to begin with only a small area in one floor board and a little rust in the trunk. Both areas were addressed during the paint and body phase of the restoration.

The owner isn’t very interested in computers so I’m posting this on his behalf. I am very familiar with the car and have been friends with the owner for nearly 40 years. Feel free to contact me for further information and I can connect you with the owner if necessary.

The car is located in Spokane, Washington and priced at $15,200 OBO. This is just a preview in case anyone is interested now. A more complete description and photos will accompany an eBay ad in the near future.
