67 Vinyl Top Trim

Has Anyone had any luck straightening the 67 vinyl top trim with some mild heat (oven or heat gun)? Also, I’ll take any advice for cleanup and what the proper black paint would be.

Thanks!

They are very soft. Put them in the oven at 275 and use your fingers as you site down them

I can tell you from experience they break like glass , I had one that a slight long dip that I thought I could massage out with my thumbs , I broke it , I had good luck with the heat and put on a flat surface with popsicle sticks under it so that it couldn’t be flexed to much at one time

I too have broke them but I figure a bent a piece of trim is of no use so why not give it a try before you throw it away

So true, nothing to loose.

Thanks, I’ll bake them at 275 and attempt to reshape them very carefully.
