My 67 XR-7 went through a refurbishment before I bought it. I need a new dash pad and all that seems to be available is a medium blue. My dash pad is dark blue as is the headliner, but I would not be surprised if they were both dyed. Can any one tell me the correct color for the dash pad and head liner? Were interior colors unique to the XR-7?
JGA the dash was a dark blue. I have an original dark blue 67-68 pad that I would consider selling.
Thanks for the offer. As I stated in my post, the car went through a moderately priced refurbishment before I purchased it, and some panels (and maybe the dash pad) have been painted, so I don’t know what is original. I just read that the lower dash is supposed to be black and mine is dark blue. I’m curious about differences between XR-7 and standard interior colors. Mine is dark blue, which I think was only XR-7? Is the head liner and dash pad also dark blue as opposed to medium blue? WCCC does not list a dark blue headliner, but I have found it at other sources.
I have had several 67 and 68 XR7’s with Dark Blue interior. The first two had a light blue headliner while the last had a dark blue. The first two were Tiffany Blue and Glacier Blue, the one with the dark headliner was Nordic Blue.
My car is Nordic blue and has the dark headliner. Did all of your cars have the same color dash pad? I am wondering if there was a medium blue and dark blue version. Reproductions seem to be one shade of blue. What condition is your dash pad in and how much are you asking?
I think you will find the 67 XR7 had light blue headliners and the 68 XR7 had dark blue. At least that is the way all the blue interior cars I’ve had. Currently own a 67 XR7 with dark blue interior and a light blue headliner.
drcougar is correct. I have a ‘67 Nordic Blue XR7 with a dark blue interior that is all original and it has a light blue headliner even thought the wide wind lace and A-pillar trim next to the headliner is dark blue
Are the visors and overhead console light blue as well?
Yes
