T5 will come up in the same hole as an auto, may minor trimming depending on the car or motor mounts etc. you can slightly modify an auto top cover to work. I prefer the cable setup, bc hydraulic costs more. But, completely depends on setup. Brake conversions or headers you are using or engine. 351w, use cable. 289/302 with headers and cable, you might need to modify the headers. Stock manifolds, no problem at all. Z bar setup harder to set up with a t5, but can be done, cable is the easiest. What other plans do you have for your car? That can change a lot.
