Kinda funny story, I replaced the old carpet in my 68 that I’m restoring. Now the problem, I can’t find the location for the outer front seat belts. Anyone got a picture of the front seat area showing the seat belts?
Thanks

I don’t have a pic, but I can tell you, it’s further aft than you might think…had that same problem when putting mine in!
I think this is what you meant by outer front…
That’s a pic of the driver’s side belt pointed straight up at the camera. Slightly behind the back of the bottom of the seat, and almost in the middle of that second-from-the-back recessed section of the moulding.
My interior was totally redone by the P.O., so I have no idea if that’s the correct position. Maybe someone else could confirm that.
That picture matches my 68 perfectly.
Same position as my 67. TMH nice looking seats. Factory seats covered in cloth?

A little tip that may help, use an awl to probe for the hole for the belt attach…or an ice-pick.
I’m not positive but I think they are the factory seats redone in a tweed material. The entire interior was redone by the PO, and I think his guy did a great job. But I don’t know what exactly was done unfortunately. Just that I love what he did!
Looks good and comfortable. How about some more pictures, show it off! The tweed reminds my of the late 80’s GT Mustang.

Thanks to all, I found the hole probing with an ice pic and it worked great, Thanks again.
Good deal! Glad we could all help.
There’s a joke in there but I’m gonna let it go.
