I have looked everywhere but can’t find information on how to change the bulb in my tail light on my 68 Cougar. I believe they come out in the trunk but mine don’t want to come out. I tried twisting and pulling and no luck. I did manage to unplug the wire but not the bulb. HELP! I looked in my shop manual but it doesn’t go into detail. All it says is it is an 1157 bulb.
Rock them back and forth and pull, they will come out. Once out look at the spacing on the tabs one is wider, it has to go back in just right.
Thanks, that did it. They were really tight in there. I wanted to be sure I was doing it right so I didn’t break something. Turns out the bulb was good. Must be in the sequenture. Thank you for your help.
