I have a 68 with a light blue Décor interior and bench seat. The door panels have pull straps. Has anyone ever seen this as an option with this package??

Those pull straps were not available from the factory on a Cougar. The missing armrest has an area for your fingers which is how one would pull the door shut.
Thanks Jeff. I thought that was the case, which is unfortunate. I will be getting new Armrests, but not sure yet what I will do with the pull straps as the damage is already done.

I would just leave them in place. They don’t look as bad as the holes they leave behind will if you remove them.
Most people would never know they weren’t factory. They actually look pretty good for after market parts. Are they well anchored?
I still need to take the panel off, but the Passenger side (pictured) is well anchored. The drivers door has one side pulled out, so I will need to do some fixing on that one. I will just leave them in. My bigger issue is finding the correct arm rests for the door panels. The originals are no longer with the car. Any ideas?
Those pulls look like the came off a Samsonite suitcase.
I think that they came off of a Thunderbird.
I don’t know if I have any blue ones but I do know that I have a pair in black.
