68 Front Disc Conversion - Other considerations?

Looking for guidance on what are the other jobs that I you think should be done during a front disc brake conversion? Derek Bieri would call these the “massel” or might as well kind of things.

If you’re changing out the spindles, mazzel look at the ball joints and outer tie rods since you’re breaking all that loose anyway.

No need to change the spindles on my car.

What brake set-up are you going with? I’m in the middle of a Wilwood conversion. All the parts front a rear plus emergency brake cables and master cylinder arrived Tuesday. I’ll be busy this weekend.

One of the Kelsey Hayes style conversions from either CSRP or Chockostang.

The single piston kits often require that you change to 15" wheels to clear the calipers. The 4 piston conversions that use your original drum brake spindles don’t.

If you are considering adding a power brake booster, do yourself a favor and find a OEM original rebuildable booster. My experience with the offshore inexpensive boosters supplied with lower cost kits is that they don’t work well or last very long. WCCC has a pretty good video on the different boosters and rebuilding.
