There was another thread in regards to converting to power brakes on a 68 from standard drum brakes. The question is about the brake pedal and bracket. I thought all you needed was the power brake pedal, but according to that thread, you also needed the bracket, is this correct, even if you have the power brake pedal?
It is true, that the 1968 brake pedal hangers are drilled for the disc brake pedal. The only problem is that the drum brake pedal brackets have the 4 nutserts installed for mounting to the firewall. Disc brake brackets only have one nutsert, you will neet to remove the extra three so that the brake booster studs can come through the firewall and bracket.
That’s good news then, I don’t have to get a different one, just knock out three of the nutserts.
