This is a 68 ivy gold dash face pad with AC that is in very good shape. The car it came off of is my 68 with only 35,000 original miles. There is one spot that has a crack but has been repaired and the back of the pad has been repaired as well, where the backing material was flaking off. It has been built back up with a special fiber board.
I did not buff the lenses for the blinkers and such, because I didn’t know if they were supposed to be. If they are supposed to be shiny I can buff them up.
I will show the spot where the crack was and is just visible but is smooth. It is ready to paint with vinyl die to what ever color you need.
This is the spot where the crack was, It has been fixed and once vinyl die is put on it, you will not see this spot.
This is where the fiber board on the back has been repaired as well.
Hi Todd,
I was going to PM you but the site doesn’t like you. It says you don’t exist. You may have to check your settings in your control panel.
Dennis
Guys I have PM’ed both of you to verify that things are working, or not… Ping me back please. As you can see above I modified the address to keep the robots guessing.
I used Cyanoacrylate glue, a type that I use with the work that I do. It bonded the crack well and I backed it up on the back side with a fiber board that is used in the electronics industry.
I Was also asking $295 for the face pad. Im dropping the price to $250 for the Christmas season.
Just got a Marti Report on this car and what I thought was Ivy Gold interior is actually “Light Nugget Gold”
Thought I would put this out there if it makes a difference.
No Im not parting the car out, Im turning it into an XR7-G tribute car, so all the standard cougar parts are going. It is supposedly had low milage so I will see about digging around for the shocks. When I got the car, everything was in boxes.
Anyone that needed a face pad, and passed this one up…wow. Can’t believe it was still here when I was “ready” to purchase. FANTASTIC shape, great, 100% accurate description.
