68 XR-7 door panels from SMS

I was looking at replacement door panels as the previous owner installed door speakers years ago, although the current panels are in good shape.

I checked with SMS on replacement panels for my XR-7…they sent material examples, in addition to the attached pic.

I don’t know if it’s simply the angle of the picture, but the angle of vertical portion for the inner section does not seem to match original. I asked SMS…they said they were the same. Guess I could take some measurements of mine and send to them to verify.

Just checking to see if the panels do match from anyone that actually purchased them.

I say find original, you just have to be patient. SMS does a decent job but if they say they will take any less than 1-2 years they are mistaken… Plus mint original will cost you less.

I’m not in a rush as mine are in nice shape otherwise. Will have to keep my eyes open for originals then.
