68 xr7 302 / 1 owner / Socal /

A customer of mine has recently turned 95 and has asked assistance in placing her beloved 68 xr7 she got as a present from her late husband. As you can imagine she has been bombarded with offers to buy it every time she drove it for the last 25 years but is reticent to sell it to just anyone off the street. I want to find a new owner that would treasure the car as she did and keep it for a very long time. Hoping for someone who will want to fly out in person to meet her, hear the stories and enjoy the experience as much as the car. Are you that person? She is going to have a neighbor help her with pictures this week. I saw the car years ago and it is a repaint, white exterior, saddle interior, garage kept, low miles, black plates. Probably worth about $13-$17k but price is not the only or even the most important factor, getting the right new owner is important to me as well as the owner. I will update this thread ASAP when I get pics.

Well if price is really not important I’d be interested.

Any updated news on the car or pictures?

Yes! They came up with pictures and a price. I am less enthused about the car after we nailed them down for a price. They are asking $18k, I will look for the pics they sent. Nice car, great story but price is a little steep. Sorry if I got your hopes up, will update if price softens.

Ouch…better be spectacular for that much. Sounds like not. Its hard to really know values when your to far removed from the hobby though…I can’t tell you how many unrealistic ones I have walked away from and they ended up with less than where I was interested in it afterward
