69/70 convertible back seat lower clip location

Hey Guys,

After replacing the floor in my 69 convertible I’m ready to prime/paint the underside of the car, and since I had to replace the seat clips for the bottom of the back seat, I wanted to test fit the seat to make sure the clips were in the correct location. I had measurements, but something seems off. Can someone give me the distance from the face of the rear clips to the clips for the bottom of the seat or send me a pic with a tape measure showing the clips? The upper back seat clips into two retainer type clips, but I can’t remember how the bottom of the seat is held in. I’m kind of stuck until I get this figured out! Any advice is appreciated!

The front clip is in direct line with the rear clip. It is flush to the rib at about 12 inches. These are the floor pans of a 1970 convertible.

Thanks for the quick info! If I remember correctly, the front edge of the seat bottom wraps around that front clip. If that’s the case, what keeps the seat bottom from moving forward?

Thanks again for the pic & info!

When the seat bottom is pushed down the “wire” kind of snaps into the front retainer as it slides back and down, preventing forward movement.

Thanks! I’ll check your measurement against what I have and test the seat again tomorrow.
