I used stainless rivets.
I had to drill mine out, so I know they were pop rivets ( San Jose Assembly - so they were used from the factory ). I too replaced with stainless steel pop rivets, as some of the originals were a bit corroded ( but they weren’t that bad, even on the passenger side ! ) Good luck with the job.
Use a piece of thread run frt to back as guide for the clips tops.
1/8" holes are there. Just wasn’t sure how the clips attached.
pop rivets… The clips if not aligned will damage the cover, thus the string like fence pickets.
Are there any tricks to getting the mouldings on? Had one come loose and can’t seem to get it on right so it stays.
Ive found that squeezing the rocker so the “inside is smaller” (if that make sense) the whole length. Also new clips if old ones dont “grab”
