Has anyone tried the led taillight kit from easyperformance on their 69 and or 70 cougar? If so what are your thoughts on it?

badcatt, if you used that kit in your 70 how did you get around not using the adapter kit for the side markers?
I have them installed. This kit came up when I ran a search for 1970. I don’t know why the 1969 set came up…
This is the correct kit for a 1970/
The attached picture from WCCC shows the components needed by model year. The 70 needs the side marker adapters. I installed the '70 kit on my Cougar. It’s been great and nice and bright.
So as an interesting side note - in another thread I described an issue with my '70 that Vic is helping me with. The result was that my old non-LED sequencer board couldn’t be repaired so I elected to purchase the latest board which is able to drive either the LED bulbs or the standard bulbs.
I’d been holding off on the complete LED conversion since the '70s require so many changes. However, Vic told me that since I already have the digital flashers (albeit older ones) and will have the latest sequencer board, I can get away with just doing the tail/brake plasma LED bulbs. The side marker adapters are only required if you also change the front turn signals to LEDs.
