does anyone know where i can get the 2 attaching clips for the center AC dash vent ?
Getting very hard to find - even WCCC doesn’t show stock. When you look in the MPC for the illustration and then for the p/n you find a basic of 14570, but the listings don’t show an application for the A/C register for Cougars or Mustangs. Only the 1970 “C” body shows a similar application ( “with a/cond. - attach register to duct” ) with the p/n of C7AZ-14570-A.
That’s the same number that WCCC shows ]. Here’s two current listings on eBay:
thanks for the information . ouch , for 2 pieces of bent metal $45 talk about inflation . guess i got to bite the bullet .
Sure is. That part would have cost .17 cents back in the day from your local Ford dealer. Dealer cost was .10 cents from Ford
I can’t defend that price except to say it is all about very small demand and even smaller supply.
To tool that up would probably cost $2000. The minimum run quantity would probably be 10,000. The part would probably cost $0.20. So $4000 investment. So with tooling you have $0.40 each. So far so good. But if the demand is 50 per year you have a 200 year supply.
