'69 Cougar Eliminator hobby model

I was in a local hobby shop a few weeks ago and noted this Cougar model on the shelf:

I don’t recall too awful many Cougar models and toys, so just thought I’d share.

Looking at the box art photo it looks as if the Cougar has the prototype Eliminator rear spoiler as seen below.

Kit has been around for several years with differing box art.

Neat. I’d love to have a poster-sized version of that.

Found something real close about a year ago while I was out “enjoying a day of antique shopping” with the wife.

Same basic kit. An earlier version came with a Boss 302 Engine.

This was first seen as the 69 XR 7 Annual kit, with low-back seats and the C-pillar medallions. 20 or so years ago it was reissued as the 428 CJ, currently the Eliminator version. The MPC 73 Cougar kit has been reissued many times as well.
