Restomodding a 69 Convertible. For some reason, there are no holes on the rear frame ledge for fastening the tank. There are holes on the tank flange. The frame ledge appears to be original. Anybody have an idea why there are no holes? (Factory Oops? Designed that way?) I plan to drill and use corresponding holes unless someone has knowledge as to why they wouldn’t be there.
There are a few holes on the fuel tanks, towards the rear of that car, that aren’t there in the body. You just don’t need bolts there. Be sure to use some 3M strip caulk between the tank and the body.
