Hi all I’m looking for rear frame rail patch’s for my 69 Cougar. I found some on summit I was wondering if anyone one had ever used these or had any experience with something else?
Or maybe some other ideas? what’s on the car has bad rust in front of the rear leaf springs

Yes they are short behind the shackle and there rusted almost in half were they are braced in front of the shackle I wasn’t sure if the summit part had the correct bend in them or not. I’m thinking of giving them a shot I’m sure shipping will be expensive but I might be surprised.. The pair are relatively cheap!
Thanks @Royce that’s what I was afraid of Thank You for saving me the grief of wasting money on those parts. I was very leery of those Mustang parts. they didn’t look right in the picture. I’ll check with WCCC. Thank You again for your help greatly appreciated..
Thanks @Royce I did look at them and they are definitely not cheap and I have not ruled them out. I didn’t get a chance to get out in the garage today. But I was wondering if I could cut out one side at a time to clean good metal and weld some new steel plate in its place or do you think that would make it too weak? I don’t know if that is possible or not and if it is too far gone. It would certainly save my pocket but if I have to replace it that’s what I’ll do..
Thanks for your help and I really appreciate it Royce.
