Hi everyone, I was wondering if there was a specific color code for the black paint in the engine bay, 69 vert. I thought about painting it the color of the car but think I will stay close to orginial where possible. Thanks kevin
Factory is a semi gloss and a little closer to flat black. Their are a lot of different engine black paints offered by all the paint companies. The closes I’ve found to the factory black is PPG primer DP90. Very tuff epoxy primer that matches up to the factory black color. You can just leave the primer as the final coat.
I also use PPG DP90LF. It looks correct and is very durable.
