The other night I was drilling and cutting my new hood getting it ready to receive the hood scoop on the 69 R Code. I have had the scoop out for fitting and noticed that it is definitely a fiberglass 69 scoop. In this other thread below it recently has been discussed that there are two different versions of the 69 16WB-16C664-B scoop, some with the bosses for the grill and some without (at least one).

There was also discussion in this thread about the 69 hood scoops only being made of plastic with the provisions for the grill.

If I am correct and this scoop is molded fiberglass then I would assume that there are two differences in the two different B scoops, 1; the added bosses for the grill on the later plastic version and 2; no added bosses on the earlier fiberglass version. My car is a very early R code with a VIN of 500330 and built on 8-26-68 thus my assumption that the fiberglass version without bosses for a grill were the earlier version.
Also I did some searches and found other comments from many years ago with people chimming into threads to say that their 69 Eliminator scoop was in fact fiberglass but there was never a follow up to there comments before the threads died out.
Any thoughts?
Below are some close ups of my hood scoop.
