Basic question here on a 1970 Big Block Eliminator. I bought the car new back in 1970 (as a demonstrator model that had been raced) with manual steering. I have the same car now being restored and I have added back the power steering that it originally came with. I am at the stage now of installing the pressure line and the return line from the control module. Which port is the return line, front or rear port, with respect to the front or rear of the car?
Pressure line goes to the rear threaded connection. Return line goes to the metal tube into the bottom of the reservoir. I have enjoyed watching your progress on a very cool Cougar!
I think he is asking about on the control valve not the pump.

In that case, tubes from both the pressure and return lines clamp to the rear side of control valve body, but the pressure side tube jogs back forward and connects to the front threaded port on the control valve.
