Just posting to help a friend get the word out a little more. I am not affiliated with this sale and do not get any benefits from it. Contact the owner through the ad.
Many of you may know the person selling these cars. He is down sizing his collection. See the craigslist ad. Don’t be afraid of is growly writing in the ad. He is a nice guy, just a little frustrated with craigslist tire-kickers, which I am sure we all can relate to. Have a good day!
DO NOT TEXT::::::::::::::::::: BOTH CARS ARE NOW IN PORTLAND & I WILL ONLY BE SHOWING THEM ONCE OR TWICE A WEEK SINCE I HAVE SHOWED THEM TO THREE LOCALS ON TWO DIFFERENT DAYS ONLY TO FIND THAT TWO HAD NO MONEY & THE THIRD THOUGHT THE NEAR COMPLETE ONE WAS WORTH $1500.00. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A $1500.00 CAR YOU SHOULD NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE. IT IS ABOUT A 1/2 HOUR IN DRIVE TIME FROM MY PLACE TO THE CARS & I HAVE NO EXTRA TIME AS I AM STILL MOVING CARS & PARTS. This listing is for two 428 Mercury Cougars that I will be listing soon. THESE CARS ARE NOT DRIVERS & WILL NEED A 100% RESTORATION. One Pictured is the R Code & the other that is NOT pictured is a Q code. They have both been freshly pulled from a shop I had them setting in for the last 10 to 15 years ( I forget ). The Q code I got from a local fellow that had it setting in his pole Building for approximately another 15 Years. The Q Code was last licensed in 85. The Q code is mostly complete. The R code I am still trying to locate where I put some of the parts. Even if I locate the parts it is still missing parts as it was missing parts when I purchased it BUT it is a true R Code I brought up from Denver…The Engine has the important parts. I just Opened the Trunk & found the C8OE-6090-N Heads. A friend has the Block with Internals that I will be bringing to the Car. These Cars will be listed after some cleanup as the Dust is thick BUT I now have them in the Rain & hope they will be cleaner after the weekend. Red one has been rinsed outside BUT inside has not been touched. .Will trade for 60s Ford performance items, Accessories or NOS Ford Mercury items from 50 through 76. DO NOT TEXT.::::::::::::::: I can be reached mornings & evenings in Orchards Washington at 360-254-5890 at home or days at 360-566-3434 on my cell. Ask for Jim
It was on ebay reserve not met at $5,110 Which I think is pretty good money for the way the ad was done. He really needs to get all the pieces together and then show what is actually missing and what is actually included in the sale. The price could go either way depending.
Wow, Red is selling his red '69 R-code CJ. Don told me about this car back when I purchased Red’s old 'Nordic Blue 68 GT-E.
This car is nearly identical (sans the all red interior) to the Cardinal Red Cobra Jet shown in the '69 Lincoln Mercury Cougar sales brochure. The one pictured at the defunct BeeLine Dragstrip outside of Phoenix, AZ.
Keep in mind that is original paint… Interior looked really nice 10 years ago but my guess is that the mice may have been working on it a little since then.
He has a dozen cool Cougars he has lost storage for and will bring them down and dump them here for us to sell if he gets no action soon and we will do the “buzz” in a big way. The last time he wanted to thin the herd he sold us 2 GTE’s, a big block G, X code, 4spd xr7 J code, 63 S55 vert and a few others. Hint… Ask for his wife and cut a deal with her if you want to buy 10 cars at once, bonus if you speak Korean… She would really like her front yard back and so would the neighbors!
I don’t think so. Definitely a 1968 J code sunroof car, and a 1967 4 speed. I have not seen any of the cars in person. The sunroof car he listed on eBay 5 or 6 years ago.
